John Cratchley I like the way this album has been mixed: with the percussion and bass in the foreground and the saxes in a kind of dreamy space behind...it seems to flout normal convention....great!
It is also beautifully sequenced to my mind and flows effortlessly.
I actively avoid all thoughts of categorisation with Polar Bear (a pointless exercise anyway) as influences vector in from everywhere...they sound like no-one else though...and,yes,they can play quietly too.

The album’s focal point ‘Dont Let The Feeling Go’ sees leader Sebastian Rochford take on vocal duties alongside Hannah Darling and a choir of friends and collaborators. It is Polar Bear at their most direct: the song’s infectious life-affirming mantra stays with you long after the record has ended
